Anthologie Volume 5, Granola Chronicles: Culinary Tales from Tall Grass Bakery and Winnipeg’s Wolseley Community is now available for sale! This volume shares the inspiring tale of Tall Grass Prairie Bread Co., a community caregiver and favourite neighbourhood gathering place for over 30 years. It also features recipes, tips, and culinary inspiration from some of Winnipeg’s most iconic restaurants and specialty markets, all of which are also located in the Wolseley neighbourhood.
Famous for their freshly milled, organic and whole grain breads, cinnamon buns, and Folk Fest cookies, Tall Grass comes by the title of Winnipeg’s hippie bakery in the heart of the granola belt honestly. Sprouted from a seed cultivated by a community, this humble Winnipeg bakery has been a model and inspiration to local businesses, and with its strong ties to the farming community, has been a major facilitator of the farm-to-table movement in Manitoba.
Copies are $10 each and $2 from the sale of each issue will be donated to the Wolseley Residents’ Association’s Community Garden Project.
The Anthologie Project is a curated collection of books featuring local design, art, food, fashion and handmade wares in support of Winnipeg charities and community.
